It's getting to be picnic season, and even if you're not skipping this basket to an overgrown meadow with your best girl, we still love it styled for summer. Identified (we think) to be the Shelton Basket Company, this woven, handled vintage picnic basket has aged like the well-loved piece it was; there are some imperfect slats (see photos) and the hinges aren't strong, but there's still a lifetime of use ahead. We'd love to see it by the door to store flip flops, holding some summer linens, or at a 4th of July BBQ for plates and napkins.
