This beautifully crafted piece of needlepoint art is for the birds...or at least anyone who enjoys spotting pretty, colorful birds in the wild. This dandie depicts a little family of pheasants roosting in flower-filled trees. It has an Asian art style with a rich color palette. And, sometimes we pick up art despite the frame, but this frame is a work of art, itself with a decorative carved look and a golden undertone--it ups the opulence with a small band of red velvet that works so well with the embroidery itself.
This is another piece that we picked up stitched by mom, Sadye Kamin. She was certainly a very crafty woman and we love her artistic eye and nimble hands!
