This vintage Fleetwing sled really tugs on the nostalgia cords. We weren't born when this was made, but it just reminds us of all the classic Christmas movies and our own days out on the sledding hills (though we were more likely to be using a plastic saucer.) This is a gorgeous piece for decorating at Christmas; and we like that since it's a more general winter theme, you can easily stretch this decor out until spring. It would look pretty studded with some greenery and and lights; we'd hang it on the front door. This would be especially delightful on the front of a country cabin or farmhouse.
Fleetwing sleds were manufactured from the early 20th century to the mid-20th century, so this is certainly at least 60 years old. We like the fact that the original owner stamped their name on the back!
