60s Medeiros Big Eye-Style Girl With Kitten Art Print
Sugar Bun
Sugar Bun
We've got big [heart] eyes for this Myrtle Medeiros lithograph from the 1960s; aptly referred to as 'Big Eyed Girl With Kitten', this piece is actually titled 'Sugar Bun'.
Medeiros , a California artist, was part of the 'Big Eye' movement (made popular by Margaret Keane) and her work sold throughout the 1960s, mainly at Woolworths. This piece quickly became one of our favorites, almost entirely because of those adorable matching ribbons. We also love the cool blue tones, the genuine sweetness of the scene, and that it's printed on cardboard which gives this litho a lovely textured, retro finish.
