1940s Red Wing Pottery Spring Green Art Deco Candlestick Holders
Spring Green Art Deco Candleholders
Spring Green Art Deco Candleholders
This pair of cheery candlestick holders in new-leaf green has us dreaming of spring. Made by Red Wing, a prolific clay pottery producer that churned out collectible wares from the late 1800s through the mid-century, closing up shop in '67. This pair was produced in the 1940s, and reminds us grandparents' linoleum kitchens everywhere.
The art deco lines and color scheme is such unexpected departure from the brass, or modern blown glass candlesticks we're seeing everywhere. We couldn't resist pairing these with two different styles of sticks - and found them equally striking.
- 1940s Red Wing Pottery Spring Green Art Deco Candlestick Holders
- This is a pre-loved dandie; in excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks present. The sticker has been removed and the underside has some expected worn marks, but otherwise, this set is fantastically maintained for the age.
