As we head into prime Bunny Season around here, we hopped right over to this guy the second we saw him on the shelf. He's a vintage French Crackle bunny ceramic - made popular in the 1930's - but his timeline is otherwise unknown.
He's on high-alert as we admire his beautiful crackle glaze. His coloring changes a bit on the light so we photographed him in multiple locations; sometimes he's more cream-colored, and other times he has a subtle purple quality, especially along his spine. He'd be the perfect heirloom-quality centerpiece to an Easter table-scape, but keep him away from the carrots.
