Sometimes we just happen upon something really cool as is the case with this Scandinavian cast iron and walnut pepper mill. When we found it, we just new it was special from its heft and warm wooden top. Lucky for us, it's marked and we were able to delve into the world of Skeppshult which is a Swedish cast iron foundry making all sorts of excellent kitchen gear. This is a beautiful, well-made piece and rare (we can't really find this model for sale anywhere anymore.) We think everyone should have a really hardworking pepper mill and this is one that will last for generations. A quick note: since this is cast iron, do not clean it with water or else this might rust; use a small wire brush to brush away any debris.
