We do like to come up with clever names for things (well, we think they are anyway), but Georgetown Pottery already beat us to the punch with their Salty Balls product line. For those not familiar with Georgetown Pottery, their wares are produced in idyllic seaside Maine. I guess they tired of things like mugs and bowls, because someone dreamed up this little creation, which is a ceramic ball for putting salt in.
Let's hear it straight from the them: The Salty Ball is a novel and fun way to store and serve your salt. The clever design keeps salt from falling out and delivers a consistent dose. To use, you simply give the ball a quick shake upwards. The salt stored inside will fill a small measured cylinder and fall out the bottom.
