While some of us live in the bright colors (ahem, Kerry) we also love when the medium itself tells the story, like this detailed pen & ink from Don Patterson. In a limited edition (marked 8/100), this simple print was created in the year 1990 when Don must have been admiring one of our favorite scenes: a lighthouse on the sea. We haven't been able to identify the location - Newport? Key West? - where there's a jetty and a fort, but either way, we'd love to be sitting from Don's vantage point. And if that's not possible we can at least admire this print on the walls, and let the beautifully detailed line etching tell the story of his travels.
Note that the frame is not particularly high end; it's light and faux wood, but it's in great shape and the matting is a lovely light grey. It's ready to hang.
