Tagua (pronounced tog-wah) is tree native to the rainforest and its seeds are sustainably harvest, and sliced. Once dried, they have texture and carve-able quality similar to ivory, earning them the name 'vegetable ivory'.
Cultures have applied various symbolism to the nut - but all of them good. Prosperity, happiness, love and abundance are a few. This is why we particularly love this long, lightweight and incredibly cheery Tagua necklace. It's got an eccentric nature we can't ignore, but it also screams of summer evenings that beg to be paired with loose cotton. Either way, we think this would be an excellent gift for Mom, who likes to be close to nature. Send those good vibes her way.
