When we gushed over this vase to a very discerning friend, he aptly called it tie- shaped. We call it classic; with it's smooth, hourglass silhouette it is decidedly, well, vase-shaped! Whether you love or hate convention, both agreed that the rich clay marbling and simplistic slab style make this a beauty. In shades of mid century browns and beachy blues on a backdrop of creamy sand, it's somehow both a cozy throwback and modernly fresh.
Signed by artist 'GM' and and 3 (version style?), we cannot identify the exact designer of this vessel. Standing 11" tall, it's a perfectly sized for a small-to-medium bouquet, or mixed into a curated bookshelf.

This is a pre-loved dandie; in excellent vintage condition, there is a hairline seam inside the vase (see photos) that likely has been present since firing. Has no impact on structure or integrity of the vase (read: it holds water well).
