Sometimes when we score things, we try them out in our own homes. Such is the case with this lone seagull, which has been comfortably living on Amy's walls for a few weeks until she got around to listing it. But we committed to parting with things so, without further ado we present this original oil painting, signed by the artist, Barbara Laughlin.
We love this moment captured in time; a lone seagull resting on a chapel, in what appears to be the hight of Golden Hour. For us, it's the colors here: the brick reds, the hues of blues, and the purple undertones of the clouds and shadows. The gold and brown frame really brings this piece to life on your walls. It is a perfectly sized pieced to mix in with others on a gallery wall, but it really does stand on its own.
