This set of decorative bronze cloisonné plates are not something we'd normally pick up. But there was just something about them that wouldn't let us steer away (we bid hard on these in an online auction!) It's really the colors that do it for us: bright jewel tones in a gorgeous color palette. They also have an air of whimsy to them; and the cloisonné detail adds a mosaic like effect. These depict scenes from ancient Greece--the Acropolis and a ship sailing the Greek seas. A wonderful set of dandies for someone with Greek heritage, a history buff, or anyone that loves to travel. They come with hooks and are ready to hang!
