Framed Architectural Pen & Ink Drawing

We're taken with this simple pen & ink drawing of the historic home, the Noah Webster House, in West Hartford, CT.  This is one of Amy's favorite styles of artwork, with her own walls dotted with them - so much so that there's no room left on the walls to keep this beauty. 

This sizable piece is unsigned, the back indicates that the artist was Steven Tierney.  Aside from the rich detailing and admirable use of negative space, the color choice on the mating is such a lovely moss green, there's no way we'd change it.  We also appreciate the matte, anti-glare acrylic glass-alternative; it has the look of glass but does not reflect the lights, in a way that makes photographing easier (thank you), but also let's the artwork pop on the wall.  

The professional frame job, done by a shop in Damariscotta Maine, is well done;  unfortunately there are some minor knicks in the wood so the new owner can decide if a more modern frame would complement this rustic piece.  We think it works as is.

• This is a pre-loved dandie; in good vintage condition, there's a couple minor water marks on the artwork (see photos), which may be restored by a professional.  We don't find it distracting from the piece, so consider it a dandie through and through.
