When I was young, I remember my grandfather would announce it was 'cocktail time' (and looking back, that hour probably came a little bit too early in the day..), and I knew that meant that work was done and everyone was ready to kick back in their awesome MCM deck house (that, btw, I did not appreciate until I became an adult who now lusts after this type of architecture). Anywhere, where was I?
The distinctive 'clink' of the stopper as it unplugged from his decanter might as well have been a bell to ring the grown ups that cocktail time was nigh. The sound this one makes in the thick, 1980s English crystal has me similarly dreaming about this evening's gin & tonic.
The simple shape and cross hatched design and diamond pattern has us thinking 'pineapple', and there's a classic beauty that has elevated every cocktail time bar cart from 1980s to present day.
