Brown Honeycomb Ceramic Trivet by Bennington Pottery David Gil

Holey 1970s Trivet

Holey 1970s Trivet

I challenge you to come up with a piece of pottery that was more iconic and prevalent on the Thanksgiving table than this 1970s honeycomb trivet, produced by Vermont pottery manufacturer, Bennington Potters. Founded in 1948 by renowned ceramicist David Gill, Bennington is still producing cozy yet functional pieces today.

We love, love, love the mod style of this one; dipped in a muted 70's brown, with just the most subtle hint of cold and orange, the light grey bottom gives it a fresh modern look.  This piece really doubles as art; a nod to a stylish era, it would look very mod hanging on a hook in the kitchen.
